Since we love reading at Browney Academy, we decided to run an exciting 'story jar' competition to showcase our favourite books.
Children were invited to think about how their favourite storybook could be represented in a jar, for example, by using certain items, quotes or clues about the story.
The standard of entries was exceptional and each jar was carefully constructed to uniquely tell a story. The winners were chosen anonymously and were awarded a book in assembly (pictured below - well done!).
However, everyone who added to our beautiful story jar collection is a winner as everyone we speak to has a personal favourite! The jars have been admired by everyone visiting our school and will now be used to decorate our brand new intervention room. See photos below.
