Yesterday Year 2 received an email from Humpty Dumpty asking for help to find a material he could wrap around himself in to stop him from breaking if he fell off the wall!
Of course, the children jumped at the chance to help and got to work in group to decide which material would be best - plastic, paper, wool, fabric, tin foil or rubber. They all worked in small groups to wrap the eggs in the materials and to make the test fair, they children came up with the idea of dropping all the eggs from the same height.
They were very excited to discover that the rubber and plastic bubble wrap were the best protection and the eggs didn't have a single crack! Humpty Dumpty will be very pleased.
