Recently, pupils from our school took part in the 'Girls' BIGGEST ever football session' through the School Sports Partnership (SSP). This exciting event brought girls together from various year groups, showcasing their passion for football and teamwork.
Throughout the afternoon, the children enjoyed practising a range of football skills that challenged them to improve. They participated in fun activities, including ‘keepy-ups’ using different body parts like knees and heads, as well as non-stop passing with their teammates. The dribbling around cones proved to be a friendly competition, as the students tried to beat their own times.
Shooting activities allowed everyone to aim for the goal, while the throw-ins encouraged tactical thinking. They even learned to perform step-overs, which excited them as they began to master this skill. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and encouragement, as everyone cheered for their friends.
The session was a huge success and the girls had a fantastic time celebrating each other's achievements and pushing themselves to perform their best. It was an inspiring afternoon that promoted the joy of sport and teamwork, leaving everyone eager for the next opportunity to play together. The organisers and our staff were very impressed!
